FAQs
Find the answer to our most Frequently Asked Questions below
Q. What photography coaching/workshops do you offer?
We offer photography training for both business professionals and private clients/groups. Check out the PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS page for more info
Q. I’m a complete beginner – can I take part in your photography coaching/workshops?
Absolutely! The majority of clients attending our workshops are complete beginners. You’re more than welcome to join.
Q. I don’t own a Digital SLR camera – what other cameras can I use?
Smaller, compact cameras (point-and-shoot) often have many of the same shooting functions as regular SLR (single-lens reflex) cameras. Mirrorless cameras are also becoming more and more popular. Any of these cameras are sufficient for any of our photography workshops
Q. I only have a Smart Phone – can I use this for taking pictures and learning about photography?
Yes, but only on a Private Workshop. We are in the process of creating an iPhone Photography Workshop, so check back soon.
Q. What will I learn on a typical photography workshop?
You will learn about the camera’s buttons and functions and how they work. You’ll also learn all about composition, angles and perspective. Shutter speed, ISO and aperture play a large part in photography, therefore we spend a lot of time discussing and practising these settings with real scenarios.
Q. How long do your photography workshops/coaching sessions last?
Private Workshops vary but start at 2.5 hours, whilst the Photography for Beginners Group Workshop lasts 3 hours. Photography Coaching for Businesses and Organisations workshops vary, from 4 hours to 2 days.
Q. I have a disability – can I join your workshops?
We’ve worked with many people of different physical and mental abilities. In many scenarios, we’ve found that Private 1-2-1 tuition is the best solution, but please get in touch with us to discuss how we can provide the best experience for you.
Q. What are your prices for photography coaching/workshops?
Prices start at 995 DKK for a Photography for Beginners workshop, and 1.695 DKK for a Private Workshop. Business Coaching prices vary. Get in touch for a quote.
Q. What’s your cancellation policy?
For B2C (“It’s for Pleasure”) workshops, 48 hours before the workshop is due to begin. For B2B (“It’s for Business”) coaching, 1 month.
Q. Can I bring a friend/family member along?
A friend, partner, guardian or family member is welcome to join you on the workshop, but cannot take part unless they pay for a spot.
Q. I’m under 18 – do I need an adult/guardian to join me during a photography workshop?
Yes. They are free to join us but must pay if they would like to take part.
Q. Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. Please contact us for more information.
Q. Do you offer discounts for pensioners/youths/students?
The costs of our workshops are the same for everyone.
Q. I don’t have a PayPal account – what other payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfers. We’re working on getting MobilePay. Payments must be made in advance and not on the day.
Q. Do you accept payments in Euros or other currencies?
All payments must be made in the local currency i.e. Danish kroner. If paying by bank transfer you agree to absorb the costs of transferring from your local currency to DKK
Q. Where do we meet for the Photography for Beginners Group Workshop?
Generator Hostel on Adelgade in the city centre (Nørreport Station and Kongens Nytorv Metro are the closest transit points). Upstairs, past reception, there’s a bar and dining area where we meet for coffee. Group and most Private Workshops meet there at 10 a.m. You can view a map here
Q. What clothes should I wear or bring?
The weather in Denmark can be very unpredictable. Therefore we recommend bringing warm and rain-proof clothing with you, especially as we lie down on the floor during the workshops. In winter a warm pair of gloves and a hat are a must, and we always recommend a good pair of walking shoes or boots.
Q. Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, but please do let us know beforehand if you will be using a wheelchair. Generator Hostel has an elevator and plenty of room for wheelchair users, and the route we take is relatively flat.
Q. How many people take part in the Photography for Beginners Group Workshop on Saturdays?
Up to five people may take part. In quiet seasons this can be fewer
Q. I’d like to do a photography workshop on a Sunday – is this possible?
Generally, Sundays are closed, but please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request
